The service was so helpful and sweet! I ordered the vegetarian Bahn Mi Op La, it was delicious, the presentation was gorgeous! It looked as good as it tasted, the chili on the side was super good to add to the Bahn Mi. I don't normally like a runny egg, but it was more jammy and acted more like a saucy protein to balance out the delicious greens. My partner ordered the Salted Pork Riblets, they were very crispy and crunchy. The little seating area is outside underneath some light shade and fairy lights. I can only imagine how pretty it is later in the day. I do regret not ordering the Vietnamese coffee, I be having that on my next visit!

Friendly service, solid banh mi. Definitely pricier for a banh mi but the quality is better. It had good flavor but was skimpy on the beef. Overall it's a good fast casual place. If you're in the area looking for a bite to eat it's a solid option but nothing to travel out of the way for.

Nestled in a residential area in Silverlake/East Hollywood. Parking can be challenging and is scarce. I ordered the chicken sandwich & iced coffee. Delicious! I love how this small business is serving free meals to evacuees & first responders. Kudos for this awesome young lady for doing this. If you're able to give any donations, please do & and support her business. You don't see big corporation like Mc Donald's, JITB, Dunkin Donuts or Carls Jr. doing this. No compassion for evacuees or first responders. They're in the business to make money which is sad & unfortunate. Rebuild LA.

Great food, great service. The new patio is a wonderful addition. Everything on the menu is really well done and the weekend specials are always a hit.

We got the pork banh mi. Perfect for a little picnic at Bellevue Park. Fast service, to-go counter only!

This place is hands down my fav Vietnamese in LA. Not only super tasty (the bahn mi bread actually crunches softly in your mouth), but the portions are huge for the price. I wish I took more pics but I ate it all. I also am normally grossed out by chicken, but the crispy chicken here was amazing!!!

That's the way uh huh uh huh I like it! Yes, this way. Amazing people working the front. Insanely delicious food at insanely affordable prices. You cannot beat this. No joke, probably one of the best vegan bahn mi sandwiches you'll find in LA. I'm not vegan but love bahn mi sandwiches with tofu instead of meat. The pickles and even vegan pate were finger licking good! Best spring rolls. This isn't hyperbole. Best spring rolls I've had in LA. The chicken inside had amazing flavor but the star was the peanut sauce. No idea what is in that peanut sauce but I've never tasted anything close to that at other Vietnamese joints! After eating this yummy meal, I was super curious about this place's story so I did a little Googling. I love that the owner is all about paying her staff a living wage + keeping menu prices affordable for everyone who calls East Hollywood / Silverlake home! Amazing food with an amazing mission. Win win.

I believe their best offering is their classic pork bánh mì, as the lemongrass flavoring goes so well with the pork, which itself is nice and juicy. The pickles are different from what I am used bánh mì thịt, but they are still very good. Be warned that this is not a sit down venue. Prepare to eat in your car or elsewhere. Fun fact: I was eating my first Bé Ù sandwich in the dark. I was so hungry I didn't want to waste time not eating this sandwich, so I just sat in my car in the evening literally blindly eating my sandwich. This is problematic because bánh mì is full of different ingredients that could spill all over you if you hold the bread the wrong way. Thankfully they gave two layers of wrapping paper and I was able to mostly spare my clothing from smelling like dinner. I also really enjoyed their bánh mì ốp la (I am an egg fiend), but be warned that it is so inconvenient to eat by hand. It may as well have been a knife and fork meal. My hands were getting eggy mess at every bite. Really good, but not as food for to-go. I have returned to Bé Ù in multiple occasions expecting a high pedigree of food after the first delicious pork sandwich. Unfortunately, saltiness is a huge issue with their newer items. Both the au jus and the popcorn chicken were a tad bit too salty for me to comfortably enjoy. I thankfully had my water with me so I could balance the sodium. To give credit, the food itself is cooked to perfect texture. (P.S. As this restaurant appears to be in a hipster hub, here is a PSA for the folx who don't know Vietnamese: bánh mì should never be spelled "bahn mi." To people who write "bahn mi": you should all be ashamed of yourselves for misspelling a six letter word. Rant to be continued at other bánh mì places...)
